A Chinese power-equipment maker has introduced a fifth-generation intelligent variable-frequency purifier for fire-resistant oil that the maker says restores degraded phosphate-ester fluid to near-new specifications without full replacement, potentially lowering long-term maintenance costs for thermal and nuclear units.
Modeled MDK-ZB3P15, the unit processes 5–15 liters per minute using P-C dual selective adsorption and two-stage filtration. The maker says treated oil reaches acid value below 0.05 mgKOH/g, moisture under 500 mg/L and NAS1638 Class 5 cleanliness.
Phosphate-ester fire-resistant oil is widely used in turbine governing and protection systems, where it degrades through heat and oxidation. Traditional practice relies on tank-wide replacement, raising disposal costs and environmental pressure.
The maker says the system supports one-click start, remote monitoring and 24-hour unattended operation. Industry observers note that long-term stability and safety of regenerated oil still require third-party testing and field data from multiple units.
The company says flow, size and configuration can be customized, with export models adapting to local power standards. As utilities push to cut costs and carbon, the economics of fire-resistant oil regeneration will stay in focus. This story will be updated as certification and first-user feedback emerge.
