A Chinese manufacturer has released a vacuum turbine-oil purifier for thermal, hydro, nuclear and industrial steam-turbine units that the maker says returns severely emulsified oil to a clear state, protecting lubrication systems.
Model MDQ-ZK100 is rated at 6,000 L/h; the maker says it cuts moisture to 50 ppm and filters to 3 microns. Flash evaporation plus gravity, coalescence and vacuum separation enable on-line demulsification, dehydration and filtration.
Turbine oil is the "blood" of rotating units; water and particles accelerate bearing wear and disturb control systems. The unit also evacuates the casing during installation and overhaul.
The maker cites unattended operation with interlocks between oil inlet and heating, plus filter-saturation shutdown. Analysts say oil purification is shifting toward on-line, data-driven service as plants extend run cycles.
Configuration is customizable. With retrofits and reliability upgrades, the market bears watching. This story will be updated with utility case studies.
